Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between vacuum chambers and vacuum sealers?
Vacuum Sealers use channelled or embossed bags to draw air out before sealing. Ideal for domestic or low-volume use.
Vacuum Chambers enclose the entire bag inside a vacuum chamber, allowing use of flat or channelled bags and enabling more powerful, consistent sealing for commercial applications.
Can vacuum sealers be used for sealing liquids or powders?
Yes, Vacuum Sealers can be used for sealing liquids and powders, but it’s not advised. If you’re wanting to securely seal liquids and powers while also eliminating material transfer risk, our Vacuum Chambers are probably best suited.
How often do I need to replace the vacuum sealer bags or rolls?
Replace bags or rolls as needed based on usage. However, for food-grade sealing, it’s suggested to always use a new bag for each product and to make sure to use compatible vacuum bags. Channelled for external models, flat or channelled for chamber models. Venus stocks suitable options for all machine types.
What maintenance is needed for a vacuum sealer to keep it working effectively?
For regular maintenance, make sure to clean the sealing bar and vacuum chamber regularly, inspect gaskets and replace if worn and ensure machine is operating properly, otherwise contact our Service Department.
