Polypropylene strapping is generally the more economically priced option. Polyester strapping boasts impressive tensile strength, making it almost as strong as steel but six times lighter and safer.

Polyester strapping is often used for securing heavy-duty loads such as timber packs or securing bundles of metal. It also retains tension over a longer period of time compared to polypropylene strapping making it ideal for situations where you need higher retained tension with less elongation

The strongest strapping material is steel with break loads of up to 800 kg depending on the width of the strapping.

Cold rolled steel is a type of steel that has been processed through a rolling process at room temperature, below its recrystallization temperature. This process increases the strength and hardness of the steel. Cold rolled steel has a smoother surface finish and tighter tolerances compared to hot rolled steel, making it ideal for applications where precision, strength and aesthetics are important.

Steel strapping offers better flexibility and adaptability when securing loads

Due to its rust resistance, stainless steel strapping is used for securing loads or items for an extended period of time where it is exposed to weather. This includes coastal areas or underwater.

Low profile strapping machines allow for easy strapping of tall and/or heavy boxes as the machine sits lower to the ground, limiting lifting or stretching.
